Here Comes the Bride!

Da Da Dada... Da Da Dada....

Little brother Derek was ushered into the world
of adult-hood on Saturday :). Joshua served as the
most manly flower guy in history and was also a fantastic
cake guard. He just couldn't figure out why there was a great
looking cake sitting there that no one would let him eat! We had
the bright idea of giving Josh a sucker for the ceremony so he
wouldn't talk his way through it. Unfortunately, the kid just
would not give it up so almost every picture of Joshua shows
him sporting his prized possession.

Congratulations Derek and Kim!

Tucson Trip

Daddy has been traveling more than usual these days, so when he went to Tucson last week Joshie and I snuck into his suitcase and tagged along. Josh thought it was quite exciting to go out of town.
Our first morning there we were awakened by him jumping up and down in his bed shouting, "Joshie's on my trip!" at 6:15 am. :)

We visited the Tucson Zoo and the Old Tucson Studios- and they both
featured "choo choo" trains. You can imagine the joy at that!
As we were waiting for the train the first day he shouts,
"Choo choo going to be so excited to see me!" Love it!

Friends are FUN!

Friends are so fun! Josh started taking a tumbling class with his little buddy Caeden. Earlier today Josh had me cracking up when he said, "Whew! That was a close one!" I have no idea where he learned that expression!

Happy Birthday Mimi!

Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday to you.

Happy Birthday dear Mimi!

Happy Birthday to you!

The First of Many

The first of many football games with Grandpa.
We went to see a family friends Pop Warner game. Josh insisted on wearing his football player costume- and he totally looked the part! Josh is also struggling with the concept of what it mean to grow up. He asked to go onto the field to "play with kids," and my response was that he could go play when he got bigger. So he spent the next five minutes grunting, standing on his toes, and stretching his arms out wide. Nice try buddy!

Nemo

Joshua's bath time conversation with himself went like this today....

"Baby Nemo NO touch boat! Come back to Daddy Nemo RIGHT NOW!" All of this while he was using 2 foam letters to act as Nemo and his dad, and his big toy boat. Then later while in his room getting PJ's on, "Baby Nemo need time out at Joshie's house." He is cracking me up with these random thoughts, as well as with his current bossy streak.

Nonnie and Nonno

Grandparents are the best! David's parents just spent a few days here- entertaining the little bud and helping us with our endless list of house projects. Nonnie came with a handful of costumes for Joshua to play dress up in, and as you can see someone had a little fun in them as well!

Havasupai Falls

Two weeks ago David and I got to head out for a long weekend on a backpacking trip with some of our favorite friends. The hike was amazing. An 11 mile hike down to the campsite...a few more miles the next day to see all the waterfalls...and 11 miles back up the next day. I had no idea that there was beauty like this in Arizona! The water is really as blue as it looks!

Welcome to Blog World

Wahoo for our first blog. After envying the fun of our friend's blogs- I decided it was time to jump on the band wagon. And, what a better time than to post our Halloween fun. Joshie thought trick-or-treating was a blast. He'd run right up to the other kids that we'd see and say
"Joshie is Spiderman" about two inches from their face (as if they couldn't tell from the costume)! Dad was out of town for work, so mom really stunk at remembering to take pictures since she was flying solo- so there wasn't much to choose from.
