Poo Stories

A fun one from today: I was packing our bag to go to the gym/pool today and walk up stairs to see Josh without pants on and a big smile on his face. He had pooped in his underwear (who knows why?!) and was so proud of himself for taking his clothes off and dumping the poo in the toilet. I was totally stumped as to how to handle this situation- needing to clearly communicate that we don't poop in our underpants but yet also not spoiling his excitement for being such a big kid who handled the situation himself!

Then about three weeks ago: Joshua was taking an extra long nap and we needed too get going somewhere so I go in his room to wake him up. As soon as I walk in the door the smell of poop about knocks me over. I look over to see Josh sleeping sideways in his chair, with no shirt on, and a pair of swimming shorts on- with BOTH legs in one leg hole. So then I start the search for the missing pooh..... finding it in a drawer lined with baby wipes. Here is what I think must have happened. Josh had to do his business, but knowing it was nap time and he isn't allowed out of his room he decided to handle things himself. So he emptied out his bottom drawer, lined it with baby wipes, took off his clothes, and backed up to the drawer. Then when faced with the predicament of being naked he thought he'd get dressed and swimming shorts must have seemed like the appropriate thing for the occasion. Getting them on was a bit tricky (thus the two legs in the same leg hole) and walking over to his bed with the legs being a little stuck was challenging- so he just decided that sleeping in his chair was the next best thing.

Arizona Fun

A little reminder to myself..... I love living in Arizona! Come July we wonder what in the world we are doing here, but for the majority of the year it is just wonderful :). It has started to warm up here and we love that our neighborhood has a heated pool (otherwise it would be way too cold to swim, unless you are from Michigan or something!).

Wanna Rock Out?

Josh and Best Bud Caeden Rockin Out

Usually the jam session starts with Josh asking Caeden "wanna rock out?", then Caeden counts to three (or his version of counting to three)- then the rocking out begins. This is seriously the cutest thing I have ever seen. We are so lucky to have friends with musical abilities (and musical toys!), because Josh definitely isn't getting this at home!

Solo in Flagstaff

David and I were lucky enough to enjoy a little weekend away up in Flagstaff. We went up to do a little vision casting for our family. The best part was that we were totally the dorks at the sledding mountain.... the only people there without any kids!

Best Buds

We have returned after our brief hiatus from the blogging world! Lately Joshua has quite enjoyed tormenting Dakota, so I had to catch one of these rare moments!
